Our Three Simple Rules:
1. "Do no harm"-- We can live a life that God wants for us helping others. Through tithing/apportionments, taken together, enable us to help more people in more ways.
2. "Do good"-- We can live a life t hat God wants for us by helping others, even those we will never meet, those we consider to haved nothing in common with or who might differ from us economically or culturally. The words of Jesus and our founder, John Wesley, suggest that doing good is a universal command. That is, doing good is not limited to those like me or those who like me. Doing good is directed at everyone.
3."Stay in Love with God"-- Seeing our tithing/and life help others not only gives us personal satisfaction, it also demonstrates concretely that we are in love with God. Staying in love with God is the primary issue of a faithful life. For from such a life of love for God will flow the goodness and love of God to the world.
